Learning to paint dolphins like this has been quite a journey. Though I have asked for help from more experienced digital artists, many of the features in my paintings were ones that I had to experiment with and try over and over again until they seemed right. One of the most frustrating obstacles in my digital paintings was trying to discover how to draw those "dancing" sun ray reflections on the dolphin's back and other objects in the water. I had to try over and over and over again, until, finally, one day I discovered the trick. One of the biggest things I've learned while improving my skills in painting dolphins is to never look at someone else's absolutely stunning work and say, "I'll never paint like that."
A blog dedicated to the dolphins in Florida, both wild and captive. I also blog at ExploreFloridaWaters.com, but I just need a extra little space all to itself to share about my number one favorite Florida water inhabitant, the dolphins and other cetaceans
