A blog dedicated to the dolphins in Florida, both wild and captive. I also blog at ExploreFloridaWaters.com, but I just need a extra little space all to itself to share about my number one favorite Florida water inhabitant, the dolphins and other cetaceans
Snow in Florida? It Could Happen This Winter
Usually, people think of Florida as always being sunny and warm, but this winter, it's different. Over the next few days, temperatures are predicted to go below freezing in northern and central areas of Florida, and throughout that time of temperatures in the 40s, 30s, and 20s, they're also predicting rain! Wow.
The Matanzas River is definitely in one of these freezing cold and possible snow zones, so that's why I painted the picture above. It features a Matanzas River dolphin, who I've nicknamed "Chesser," and his possible reaction to seeing snow for the first time.
