MELON-HEADED WHALE
October 13, 2017: A Melon-Headed Whale stranded at Indian Shores, FL, and is currently recovering at SeaWorld Orlando.

June 4, 2017: A Melon-Headed Whale washed ashore on Treasure Island, and did not survive.

October 23, 2011: A Melon-Headed Whale washed ashore on Manasota Key. Mote Marine Labratory came to the animal's rescue. The dolphin was then sent to SeaWorld Orlando for care, but sadly, "Dante" the Melon-Headed Whale did not survive.
